Select from a range of transport options to arrive at Magnific Rock in your own style. We have a secure parking lot for vehicles if you intend to simply drop by for a meal (and perhaps a surf or yoga class).
FLY
You have airport options! Liberia (Costa Rica) Airport is just 3.5 hour drive away, and we will happily arrange an airport pick-up for you.
You can also now fly into the new Costa Esmeralda Airport, from Liberia (Costa Rica). We are a 20-minute drive from there, and can arrange a transfer for US$30 each way. Check out the Costa Esmeralda Airport for flight details: aeropuerto costa esmeralda
TAXI
Costa Esmeralda Airport: US$30 20 minutes
Granada: US$80 1.5 hours
Rivas / San Jorge: US$40 40 minutes
San Juan del Sur: US$70 1 hour 15 minutes
Costa Rican Border: US$80 1 hour 20 minutes
Liberia (Costa Rica) Airport: US$150 3-4 hours
Note: The drive from Liberia to Magnific Rock, involves crossing the Cota Rica – Nicaragua border and a small entry fee will apply.
CAR
If you are driving to Magnific Rock, first make your way to the town Rivas. From there, follow the signs to Rancho Santana (approximately 40 minutes). Once you pass Rancho Santana, continue along the road for another 10 minutes until you see a sign on your left for Magnific Rock. Turn left at this sign, and follow the road to the very end to find our magical place.
BUS
Take the bus (Chicken Bus, colloquial English name) from Rivas destined for Las Salinas or El Astillero. Get off in Las Salinas at the Amanda’s local store. From there, it is about a half hour walk to Magnific Rock – just follow the signs.
