This beginner aerial yoga retreat in Nicaragua is more than a week of classes. It is a chance to step away from routine, move your body for the joy of it, and reconnect with the part of you that misses feeling playful.
You train each morning on a cliff above the Pacific, then let the afternoon unfold at your own pace. You go home with new skills, new friendships, and the quiet confidence that comes from doing something you never thought you could.

Who This Retreat Is For
You do not need to have touched an aerial silk before. You do not need to be strong, flexible, or fearless. Every class is coached and scaled to the person in it, so you progress from wherever you start today.
Most guests are people juggling careers, relationships, and responsibilities who simply want time that is their own. Come solo or with a friend. You will not be the only one arriving alone.
The retreat welcomes three levels:
- Intro to Aerial: you have never tried it and want a gentle, well-supported first taste.
- Beginner: you have a few classes behind you and want to build real foundations.
- Intermediate: you are comfortable in the air and ready to break through a plateau.
A Day on the Cliff
The rhythm is intentional. Focused training in the morning, then real space to slow down. Nothing is over-scheduled.
| Time of day | What it looks like |
| Morning | Aerial training in the studio, ocean in every direction |
| Midday | Fresh food at the café, then rest |
| Afternoon | Choose your own adventure: surf, swim, a yoga class, explore Popoyo, or a hammock and a book |
| Evening | Sunset, shared meals, and easy conversation |
Some afternoons you will want to chase a wave. Others you will want to do nothing at all. Both are the point.
What You’ll Practice
Aerial yoga here is more than a single class. Across the week you move through a full arc of practice, each one building on the last.
- Aerial silk fundamentals: safe entries, wraps, and inversions taught step by step.
- Restorative hammock sound baths: deep rest, cradled in the silk, carried by sound.
- Breathwork: simple techniques to steady the nervous system.
- Guided meditation: short, grounding sessions to close a practice.
- Integration circles: space to share, reflect, and connect with the group.

The Outdoor aerial studio sits on a headland thirty metres above the ocean, open to the breeze and the sound of the waves below. You practice with the water in front of you and Beginner’s Bay directly ahead.
Popoyo is a small, laid-back surf town on Nicaragua’s Emerald Coast, still under the radar and better for it. The pace is slow, the water is warm, and the offshore wind keeps the ocean clean from sunrise to sunset.
This retreat is part of a more expansive retreat program at Magnific Rock, so our space is built for practice, rest, and everything in between.

Can You Justify a Week for Yourself?
For a lot of people, the hardest part is not getting out of your comfort zone. It is giving themselves permission to invest in something that is purely just for them.
If you are balancing work, family, and everything in between, a week away can feel indulgent. It is not. This is not about escaping your life, it is about coming back to it energized, healthier, and more present
The real transformation is not one new skill on the silks. It is remembering what it feels like to wake up excited, move every day, laugh with new friends, and carry that confidence home with you.
