March Surf Update – Nicaragua Surf Camp at Magnific Rock

Hola from Magnific Rock!

March usually brings cooler water and strong offshore winds—but this year it wasn’t too bad. The water stayed comfortable, the wind wasn’t too intense, and the waves just kept rolling in. It’s been consistent, fun, and the kind of month that reminds us why we love it here.

To backtrack a bit—February’s surf delivered classic Nicaragua vibes: strong offshores and steady swell. The winds were definitely powerful at times, but the surf stayed super rideable, and sessions were still packed with great waves. When it got a bit too windy, guests found balance with our daily yoga classes—because, let’s be real, nothing beats stretching it out while listening to the ocean. And honestly, we’d take warm water and sunshine over winter jackets any day.

Back to March—we had some incredible guests join us. Norm, a firefighter from Florida, came down on a solo surf mission and absolutely charged it. He was out wave hunting daily, joined a boat trip to score uncrowded breaks, and even paddled into the first big Popoyo swell of the year.

We also welcomed an awesome family of four from Uruguay. They came straight from a ski trip in Canada to trade snowboards for surfboards . The kids were catching wave after wave, nonstop stoke, and the whole family even got in on a fishing mission by boat—returning with fresh fish and big smiles.

With swell season right around the corner, now’s the time to lock in your trip. Whether you’re flying solo or bringing the whole crew, we’re here and ready to ride with you.

Don’t wait—come charge with us!
