NICARAGUA SURF CAMP & YOGA RETREAT

Location was excellent!Did the aerial yoga with Maria. The aerial yoga was soooper cool. I had never done it before. Maria was a great teacher and very helpful. Totally loved Maria!

I took an aerial class with Maria the other day and it was SO FUN! I loved the weightlessness of hanging in the silk hammock and also the inversions. I felt like my spine recalibrated after just a few seconds. I would def recommend the floating mobility class for anyone who works on the computer or sits a lot of the day. Plus the view is absolutely unreal.

I’m a 61 year old beginner surfer traveling solo. I spent a week at Magnific Rock on an all inclusive surf and yoga package. It was exceptional. I reached out to the facility after reading some online reviews. Jess the surf manager responded, listened to what I was interested in and put together an amazing package. It with tremendous value. Airport transfers, accommodations, meals, non alcoholic beverages, daily private surf lessons, daily private yoga lessons, surf board rentals, boat trip to a surfing break with fishing trip, massage and a video of my surf session were all included. Yuber was my surf instructor for the week. He was great. He provided great tips, wave selection, patience and went the extra mile to show me around the local community. Maria the yoga instructor was fantastic. Her assisted stretching session was one of the most amazing parts of the trip. The food was delicious and fresh. Kimberly and the entire staff in the restaurant provided great service. My room was a studio apartment perched on a cliff overlooking the beach. Sunsets everyday from Magnific rock are breathtaking. The facility is clean and safe. I highly recommend it.

I had the pleasure of staying at MagRock over the holidays as a solo traveler. Waking up to the waves crashing on the beach and the views from the balcony was a dream come true! All of the staff at MagRock is welcoming, kind and responsive.Being able to walk one minute to yoga at the incredible MagRock studio every morning is fantastic. Maria greeted me as my first instructor and immediately made me feel at home. Her aerial and restorative classes were blissful. I also had the opportunity to book one of Maria's Thai massages in the studio and it, too, was fantastic! She is an excellent Nica hostess and energy worker.The swimming, beach walking and opportunities for adventure around MagRock are top notch. Though I did not surf, I can attest that watching the surfers is great fun even when the swell isn't much.Highly recommend and will visit again!

This is the most beautiful place you will do yoga in the world.I stayed down the road but came to 4 yoga classes in the 3 days I was in Popoyo. I tried arial ("cocoon") meditation, fire and flow and arial yoga all for the first time - because why not try something new while you're in the most beautiful place in the world to do it?I can't say enough good things about my experience in each class, and all three instructors I had were lovely. I was the only student in three of the classes I attended which still blows me away.Since arriving home, whenever I close my eyes I picture this studio as my happy place - epic views in every direction and the sound of waves crashing around me.Whether you like yoga or not or have never even tired it - THIS IS THE PLACE TO DO IT. You will not be disappointed.

I cant say enough good things about Mag Rock.Above everything are the people.Everyone is kind thoughtful and obsessed with service.The food is a highlight all the meals are incredible and the location is the absolute best.They helped our family with everything we needed including babysitting.Ask them anything and they will help you out.They went beyond being a hotel. They became friends.Magical moments!!

Just went to the most amazing restorative aerial yoga class taught by Maria. Feeing incredibly zen. Such a beautiful location overlooking the sunset- everything was perfection. She’s such a great teacher, I wish I could put her in my pocket and bring her home with me! Very intentional about the practice. It was so healing! Can’t wait to come back!

Must stay while in Popoyo. Incredible views, rooms and restaurant. Quick walk down to the beach and board rentals for surfing. The nachos at the restaurant were my favourite! Below the restaurant there is a really nice lounging area and pool if you want a lazy day. Can’t wait to come back!

La ubicación frente al mar es perfecta: desde varios espacios del hotel se disfruta una vista preciosa que aporta una sensación de calma inmediata.Uno de los puntos más especiales fueron las clases de yoga. Aunque se realizan dentro del edificio, el salón cuenta con amplias ventanas con vista al mar, lo que hace que la práctica sea igual de relajante y energizante que si estuviera al aire libre. La luz natural, la brisa suave y el sonido del océano crean una experiencia única.Las habitaciones estaban impecables, cómodas y con detalles que demuestran la dedicación del personal. I did the 5 day all inclusive surf package and I cannot recommend it enough! All the staff at Magnific Rock and the surf instructors were so welcoming, caring, and knowledgeable. I am a new surfer, but I had a lot of fun. The ocean views from the room and the restaurant were unbeatable. The room was basic, but it was all I needed. I recommend staying at Magnific Rock and doing the surf package! I will definitely be back.

I have a yoga and surf package at this location. Maria is an amazing instructor who teaches aerial yoga, Restorative yoga, And there are many other classes available. The studio sits on the third floor, looking out on a panoramic view of the ocean. In the last 20 years of my Yoga experience, I have never experienced a more beautiful studio than this one. I thought the surfing would be my most favorite thing about this vacation, And I have fallen in love with the studio. I have found Nicaragua to be a safe place to come to, The staff here are amazing. You have to find out for yourself.

This place is truly amazing and healing! I signed up for the yoga retreat as a Leap of faith, not knowing what I was going to get. It turned out to be one of the best paces I ever been, it was so healing, the location is gorgeous on the top of a cliff, all staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and the restaurant is awesome with great service. But my stay was surely outstanding thanks to Maria, the yoga instructor. She is not only very knowledgeable about yoga, but also truly a good, kind and grounded person. I am very thankful for finding this place and will forever be on my mind. I hope to come back!

The local experience is authentic, the friendly staff made us feel like family, and the laid-back atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Aerial yoga with Maria at Magnific Rock was a relaxing and transformative experience! She was an amazing instructor and the ocean view yoga deck was very tranquil. I highly recommend if you’re looking for yoga in Nicaragua.

Venimos a tomar algo y disfrutar del lugar. Tomamos unas cervezas victorias bien frías y unos nachos como recomendación del mesero. Gran acierto, estaban super ricos.Las vistas son espectaculares de la playa. Tienen todo super bonito y cuidado. En la zona de abajo para huéspedes supongo tienen piscina y barbacoa para hacer asados. Si vienes por la zona tienes que pasarte.

I booked a last minute surf package. Brian and Jess take care of everything. 5 star service. The airport pickup was perfect, he had a sign with my name on it. Super easy. I asked to stop for a beer. Very accommodating. My very private room had an incredible 180* view of beginners bay to world famous popoyo. The balcony was awesome. The food and drinks were incredible and my pro surfer instructor Hector was amazing. He takes you to the best breaks at optimal tide and puts you in the perfect position to catch more waves than you can handle. Locals get priority so I got the best waves of my life. The photos they took were great and the massage was the best of my life. The boat trip to Lances Left was spectacular! This is the nicest place around. Don’t hesitate. It is reasonably priced and the best surf experience ever. Off shore winds all day with consistent swells.All inclusive surf camp. Surfing Nicaragua. Uncrowded spots. Epic surf. Best surf camp. Perfect for beginners to experts.

I am so glad I decided to choose Magnific Rock for my stay in the area.- On arrival at the hotel, it makes an immediate impact, as the views of the surrounding beaches and surf breaks from the peninsula location are absolutely stunning.- The team are really friendly and helpful - Lisa, Ronnie and all, are great at making you feel welcome and accommodating your needs - I ended up extending my stay 3 times.- My apartment room had the most incredible view over the bay, where you could sit and watch the surf all hours of the day, ending with amazing sunsets. Added to that, it is a short walk from the hotel to the Beginner's Bay, with the other more advanced breaks of the main Popoyo break in walking distance too.- Brian, the Surf Director was awesome. I am an infrequent middle aged surfer, and he was really good at helping to build up confidence, improve my skills, and push me to progress my capabilities - I caught more waves in my sessions with him, than ever before. Great attitude, relaxed approach, and a nice guy - and would highly recommend scheduling sessions with him.I will definitely be back - best spot in Nicaragua 😉

We had an amazing vacation staying at Magnific Rock. All the staff were exceptional and so accommodating. Our balcony had breath taking views and we did not have a want that was not accommodated. Between the surfing, yoga, and exploring we had the best vacation! We are looking forward to planning our next trip to Magnific Rock.

Had an amazing experience at Mag Rock. Staff was incredibly attentive to all our needs. Brian and Jess took me to score some amazing waves, provided coaching and photos. I usually go to new surf spots blind but having them along was a cheat code as they told me when, and where to score waves in the area.The food was excellent and when we asked about going to Granada, the GM Martin took us personally and guided us around the the city. We fell in the love with the place and will definitely be back soon.

My wife and I got married on July 12th. Everything was perfect, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a full- service destination wedding. They took care of everything, from guest accommodations on-site to catering and cocktails. Our wedding planner, Karina, did such an amazing job.The Beachfront reception area was breathtaking.If you are looking for a beach wedding venue in Nicaragua, this is it!!! 🥳💍

Took my first aerial yoga class at Mag Rock in Popoyo and it was incredible! Maria was my teacher and she was absolutely amazing—super encouraging, clear with her instructions, and made the class so fun. I was a beginner to aerial yoga, but it still felt totally accessible while being challenging in the best way. I got such a deep stretch and even did a few inversions/tricks I never thought I’d be able to do! The view alone was worth it—breathtaking ocean and waves right in front of you, plus the most perfect breeze coming through while you move. There were some experienced yogis in the class too and it still felt like the perfect vibe for all levels. Honestly such a cool, unique experience. Highly recommend!

I had both dinner and breakfast here, and I was truly impressed!! The food was delicious, the view is absolutely breathtaking, and the whole vibe is just perfect. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, it really makes a difference! You can feel the good energy as soon as you arrive. Highly recommend this place!
